The greed, careless of the human being and things he does without thinking of its consequences. In the previous Surah we learned that the human being will be crying when he will see his sins coming out of the earth. In this Surah we will have a look at what people are doing on earth.
The first 5 verses are oaths. They are dedicated to get the attention of the Arabs. They lived in the desert, they break out into fights easily. You look at the guy in the wrong way, and they engage in warfare for generations. They entertain themselves with poetry. They song about stories of battles, scenes of battle, horses (fast cars).
Running after the enemy in battle. You don't look left or right, you just charge to one person with animosity. For the Arab is the trailer of an action movie.
ضَبْحً - The horse is going as fast as it can, and marching forward towards an enemy. The horse is using its full potential. They will go after the enemies as wolves pound on their prey. So the Arab is encapsulated with this image.
They are blazing the trail behind them
قَدْحًا - every step is very loud, the gallop is pounding.
eeghara - Horses take their riders right on top the enemy. It refers to ambush. The enemy is on the ground and the rider is over him.
ghaara is to commit crimes, to pillage and carnage
صُبْحًا - they attack in the morning, there is a lot of moisture in the morning - although it is wet, sparks are going anyway. Water evaporates immediately and turns into fire. You want the enemy to know that you are coming, you aren't afraid of the battle. This is the confidence that they have.
وَسَطْ - They penetrate to the very middle. The use the advantage of the cloud of dust. They all went to the heart of the enemy. They formed a spear, they hit them and entered their ranks as they came crushing in. Now they are surrounded by the enemy.
The Arabs loves the horse, the battle horse, the female battle horse because it is fast. This horse is loyal that it is willing to give up its own safety and life for his master. The Arabs write poetry about their horse, how beautiful it is, how strong it is. How he keeps his horse fenced so no one will look at it. He hired a servant to look after it all because the horse is so useful and loyal. Then Allah says,
human being is not loyal towards its Master at all. A carve ball is thrown at the mushrik. It hits him in the heart, he cannot come up with an intellectual heart. Allah gave you all of these gifts of a body and skill, horse etc and what you do with it? You rob and your murder and commit zinnah. Even in the movie industry they get a bunch of good actors to glorify crimes. Oceans 11 - how to rob a casino. Fast and Furious - how to steal cars.
The horse does not disassociate himself from its human trainer but the human disassociates himself from its Master, Allah.
كَنُودٌ - extremely ungrateful. They only talk about problems. We want more. We train our kids to be the same. We take them to the toy store, and they always walk out unhappy because no matter what you go them, they are leaving behind $2 million dollar worth of merchandise. They say can we get that next time, can we also have that? When they grow up, they always want more and sometimes unrealistic things out of their education, marriage, house. We milk what we have for all that it has. If you have a cow, you keep it till it gives milk, then you slaughter it for its meat after its dry. Can you imagine? We are so greedy. We demand that everything should serve our purpose. What about Allah who created us? He gave us everything. What should He do with us when we are not grateful to Him?
Perception of something desirable (you think its really good for you), engaged in relentless pursuit for it.
شَدِيدٌ - to tie a rope, to be tied up in this love of wealth.
They are not satisfied, its never enough. So they are never thankful
بُعْثِرَ - turn things upside down to find something. You will be yanked out of the graves like junk out of a box.
The people you buried because of your love of wealth. You put them in mass graves, you buried them over explosives. There was no record for their death. You didn't leave a trace. They will come out of their graves, wherever you hid their bodies. In whichever acid you threw them and no matter how many pieces you made of them.
This is the sad reality of the world. The most deaths are in the name of wealth. People kill people for inheritance, business deal, ownership, purse, cellphone.
The testimony and motivates will be out.
خَبِيرٌ - to be fully aware of the reality, every detail. More powerful than aleem.
