Surah Layl - Highlights

1. fear standing before Him
2. fear His position
3. fear harming the relations of the womb
4. fear Hellfire.

Take an action of falling into some kind of trouble.
He gave and after he gave (charity) is that he became cautions. People who give, sometimes give for the wrong reason. They will give in charity to compensate for a bad deed. They are engrossed in haraam so they would give to the Masjid or orphanage. So they don't really have fear. In contrast, people have fear of Allah but they give charity.

Yusuf (a.s)'s brothers said that after you get rid of Yusuf, your father's face will turn against you. It implies attention.
So give in charity to seek the attention of Allah.
All kinds of faces of good things. You spend all over the face, diversify your profotlio so upon returning to Allah you have many good deeds to show.

Allah gives us wealth and we start thinking that we are the owners, we are incharge, psychologically we replace Allah and believe that the wealth belongs to us. So these people give lots of wealth to rid the love of wealth from consuming their hearts. They give wealth to remember Allah.
The amount we invest at a place show how much we trust that place with our money. So giving to Allah a lot implies that we have certainty in this sure deal. Before the other instinct of stinginess kicks in, out of fear of losing this chance of spending in charity, they give a lot.

confirmed the truth in divinity of Allah and testament of faith. In the beauty of Islamic Law. In Paradise.
People know that praying is good but they don't do it. It suggests two things, either you are lying or you are insane.
Tasdeeq is to confirm something is good and to act upon it as well.
He gave the right of Allah, Allah gives you wealth and so the human recipients returns it back to Allah
The ultimate good refers to Jannah.

To be part of a society, you have to give. Giving comes first comes on a societal scale. This is how a people become a civilization. The second thing is that you have to abide by the law, be afraid of the consequences of breaking the law (that is taqwa). Finally, they confirm the truth (they have the same goals and perspective of life).

Only Allah can make easy. Allah makes the easiest, really easy for them.
Meaning doing good things becomes easy for him, it becomes natural / second nature
Allah makes easy for those who make the above commitment.
Soon - put them to rest; relationship between Allah and man is very tranquil
The word yasara was used when the Arabs would make the horse saddle just ready and comfortable to ride. So Allah means that He will create just the right means to make good deeds easy for us. We'll just have to sit and move the rope a little.
From a human nature point of you, what you do all the time, becomes easy for you.
Ease comes when you accept the fact that "you have to do it". If you keep doubting reality or complaining about you (have a defeatist attitude), it will become hard and you will fail.

to be free of need. I don't know the Hereafter, I just need things here.
He ended up lying against the Truth.
Allah gives them wealth, they do not give and start assuming that they do not need the religion, rather it is the religion that needs them because after all, they have the wealth so they should be able to manipulate the dictate of religion accordingly. This is common amongst many Muslims

We will make evil deeds easy for him.
They will land in the worst difficulty. They will live carefree and spend their wealth wherever their wealth and the very things they spend their wealth on will destroy them. Their children rob them silly, they lose their stocks, the bank takes their house.

The only guidance, true guidance is only that which leads to Allah. The end of guidance is not wealth or fame.
It is only upon Allah to guide via revelation and Allah gave us a sense of what is right and wrong, pre-programmed us for good.

Allah has both so ask for both.

Allah is warning of not the bad deed but the consequence of the bad deed. Punishment is mention first. Warned us by means of revelation.
Allah warns us of the fire in the past sense.

Ashqa refers to those who denied the miracle of the Qur'an. They were asked to come to it and they stayed away out of rebellion.
In the previous Surah, ashqa were those who denied the miracle of the she-camel. They were told to stay away and they came to it with rebellion.
There are other kinds of fire that are created for other people but this specific is only for the most wretched whose high crime was turning away from the divine message and the needy who ask him. Also it is not specifically mentioned what he turned against and what he lied about. So figure out what he lied against and turned away from - isn't it clear from the Surah.

He will be taken far far away from the harmful. He will be taken to the side and he will be safe.
Allah says say, like in the previous ayah, only those who have the most taqwa will be saved. This means that there is hope for people who have a little less than the "most" taqwa. There is hope for others too, this is a mercy of Allah.

How to become the people of Most Taqwa?

He gives wealth - Allah does say "he gives a lot". Just give. The condition to purify yourself, give what you can. Every one can give something, even the poorest person has something from which he can donate, half of your date. Habitual giving, keep giving continually. Teach kids to be generous, teach them to be beneficient. We are breeding greedy children. If someone comes over and they take their doll or car, your child has a hernia right there. Once they are teenagers - the ship has sailed, the email is sent.
Give to cleanse yourself not because of the consequences (the relative will feel bad, you will be defamed in the family if u do not bring a gift to visit, at a wedding or give to a needy cousin when your mother or brother stops you because of their personal issue).

jaza means to give someone completely so that there is no dis-satisfaction left.
maybe it was hard for you two give those $2. Allah knows how much you were in need and how much strain it caused you to part from those $2 and lose out on getting what you direly needed.

You seek it so badly, that you beyond all boundaries to get it.
You are that desperate for the smile of your Lord
This is the only/exclusive reason for which they give. It was only for this pursuit because of which they gave. There was no other motivation. The fatha on ibtihaa-a denotes that.

Soon, they will be content.
Why people are running the dunya, so they will get content. Its the things, we really want happiness and we wrongly think that it is the car, or the house or the marriage or children will make us happy. Allah is correcting us in the Qur'an that only Allah's remembrance remove the restless and the itch.
There is an oath here as well (waa). Believe it, you will be happy. I swear you, I am telling you, you will find tranquility in yourself soon.
