T - 29 - This goes against everything I believe in, but yesterday I was actually grateful for going shopping. Spending money on “self-treats” (without busting your budget) can alhamdulillah improve lingering sadness and stress. I don't mean that shopping is the best coping mechanism (there is not enough money in the world to deal with the endless supply of problems). However, small indulgences every now and then, like Vanilla Bean Crème Mocha, a pair of small square faux zircon earrings or Robert Ludlum's new novel, alhamdulillah can be an instant mood booster. This blog is collage of memories and lessons captured from world events and my experiences. I am sharing my thoughts on an array of topics mostly addressing contemporary Muslims in North America. My goal is to connect myself and everything in my life with the Qur'an and the Ahadith, to inspire goodness and closeness to Allah. I do not claim to be an expert in any of the things I write. My opinions are subject to change and open for discussion. I look forward to your comments and suggestions.

Gratitude Journal - Shopping
